  • Because you continue pushing Israeli lies about the genocide. You are now banned as well.

  • I'm guessing you're talking about the post by AnonymousWolf about Ryan Al Najjar?

It was removed for being an image post, not an article.

Under rule #1, link to articles only.

This post, being a self post, is ALSO not an article and will be removed.

  • Yeah, the Afghani government, or I should say "government" folded up so fast it's hard to remember the timeline. It may be we made the promise to the non-Taliban government which had the half-life of francium. (Yes, I looked that up.)

  • We don't need all the news from a single perspective. Multiple users need to be able to contribute too.

If the community is a wall of posts from the same user, others may feel like they can't contribute.

  • Hey @Davriellelouna@lemmy.world Looks like you're posting a bunch.

    Please note sidebar rule 7:

"Rule 7: We didn’t USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you’re posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page."

  • Because their war crimes already killed the other half? 🤔

  • ? I thought the US was when Trump agreed to pull out and turn it over to them?

  • "I would love to give you an honest answer to that question, but I'm afraid our corporate lawyers just won't allow it."

LOL. From a book called "Idiot Letters". Guy got a card in the mail from Pizza Hut reading "It's come to our attention that it's been some time since you enjoyed a Pizza Hut pizza, and that concerns us, because you're the kind of customer we'd like to see more often."

To which he responded: "What kind of customer WOULDN'T you like to see more often?"

    Response above.

  • !world@lemmy.world does require articles be recent news, within the last 30 days, so I'm hard pressed to see how a history lesson going back decades qualifies.

But since the date on the article IS "29 Jun 2025", and that is within our requirement, I'll allow it for now, another mod may not, but eh, it is what it is.

There also seems (to me) to be a lot missing here. Like that time they tried to assasinate the US Ambassador to Lebanon.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Gunther_Dean

    https://www.wrmea.org/2002-november/american-ambassador-recalls-israeli-assassination-attempt-with-u.s.-weapons.html

"Picked up by Lebanese security, the anti-tank canisters had made-in-America markings. After unanswered telegrams to the State Department and all but silent responses to his telephone inquiries, Dean eventually learned that the anti-tank weapons were sold and shipped to Israel in 1974. Dean apparently mused to himself on the irony of an American ambassador being subjected to an Israeli assassination attempt with American weapons supplied to Israel for defense."

  • Not really "News", but it's sufficiently "World" so I'll allow it.

    I'm not even sure where I'd re-direct you if I did remove it. !entertainment@beehaw.org ? !entertainment@lemmy.world ? !music@lemmy.world ?

  • Absolutely correct. No wishing death on ANYONE.

The hardest one was when Henry Kissinger died, because, well, Henry Kissinger. LOL. Lots of reminders of "No celebrating death", but I mean, it WAS Kissinger.

  • Again, nothing to do with genocide or anything outside the group. If you come here suggesting people deserve to be killed, you're not going to find receptive moderation.

  • Read the Sidebar, specifically Rule 6.

No, I know you won't. Here it is, bolding is mine:

"Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time."

  • No, because that's not a direct call to violence.

Let me give you an example:

    Someone posts this story:

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cyvjj9lmq3zo

"Three killed in Ukrainian drone attack on central Russia"

"Three people have been killed and 45 injured following an attack by Ukraine on a factory in the city of Izhevsk - more than 1,000km (620 miles) from the border - Russian authorities say."

    User replies "Good."

That's removable. They are applauding the deaths of three human beings.

    Alternately, someone posts this story:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russian-drone-strike-odesa-deaths-injuries-ukraine/

"Russian drone strike on port city kills married couple, injures 17, Ukraine officials say"

"Russian drones struck the southern Ukrainian port city of Odesa overnight, killing two people and injuring at least 17, Ukrainian authorities said on Saturday."

User responds with typical pro-Russia propaganda. Ukraine are Nazis, they started it, yadda yadda.

    That's also removable.

  • I'm not interested in stopping anything outside bad behavior in the groups I moderate.

I have nothing to do with "the movement" and neither do you.

  • Palestine can also do what they want, they aren't subject to the rules here. The people here will abide by our rules.

    I'll make it super simple:

(Lemmy.World Rules (World.Lemmy.World Rules)) . . . (The entire rest of the world, including Palestine, Israel, Russia, Ukraine... everyone)

If you're here, you agree to our ruleset. If you're not here, our rules don't apply to you.

  • I am not, Ukraine is outside this place, what happens outside this place does not need to conform to our rules.

If you're going to participate, you will abide by the rules.

  • You were warned, this is now a temp ban. Continuing to be an asshole will earn a permanent ban.

  • World News @lemmy.world
    jordanlund @lemmy.world

"third day of shooting". At an AID POINT.

Even if you're being gracious and assuming day 1 was all just a wacky misunderstanding (it wasn't), day 2 and 3 are war crimes.
