The machine needs meat
Rich Americans flock to apply for New Zealand’s ‘golden visas’ after government loosens requirements
“Rich people buy their way out of the fascism they helped build” seems more apt
Palantir laughs quietly
Not to worry, it's made in china, shipped from china, and then people in detention centers will be forced by ICE to package it for that bonus fascism feel for those that believe it's made in the US and and they're getting a deal on the T-Mobile package that costs almost 2x other providers for the same service.
I feel like it was probably more known when that book came out, but as social media basically enabled the KGB to do this cheap as fuck most people forgot, and the amount of people connecting "russia interfering with elections" to "russia attempting entire gameplan to destabilize the west over years and years" dropped drastically
Because they’ve been working to stir dissent in the US and it’s been their playbook since the late 90s

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States and Canada to fuel instability and separatism against neoliberal globalist Western hegemony, such as, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists" to create severe backlash against the rotten political state of affairs in the current present-day system of the United States and Canada. Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social, and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectariangroups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics".
Great way to launder a ton of money while a bunch of key voters randomly appear in swing states too
The old Catholic Church play
Agreed, there was a massive discussion about it on github where that sort of was the general outcome at the end of the day as well
I believe they can see it because they're an admin of their own instance vs a standard user (I also cannot see who voted, and I think the API keeps that data private for everyone except admins)
That’s true nearly everywhere capitalism exists though, not just America. Nestle sales in Europe aren’t far behind their North America sales
That’s true, I should have specified that for those with a choice on where they shop. But even in towns and cities where there are major retail/grocery alternatives, Walmarts tend to thrive.
Newsweek has reached out to Walmart outside of regular working hours via an online contact form.
Lol gotta love how Newsweek doesn't even have someone they can reach out to at Walmart. At this point Walmart's PR department is probably an intern with a microsoft copilot account since no matter what shitty thing they do nothing happens to them and people still shop there.
Ah the old "It's fine for us to attack another sovereign nation but now it's happening here and I don't like it" style NIMBY
