That’s rich, given the religious extremists that hold all the power in the US and Israel. Remind me again, which country launched this war?

That just isn’t consistent with the behavior we’ve seen from Iran for decades. They have acted rationally over and over again, trying to avoid conflict, de-escalating when attacked (to their own detriment IMO), signing and complying with treaties. There’s a lot of anti-west sentiment in Iran, sure, but given what the west has done to them for a century, that’s very very rational. Why should I believe that such rational people would ignore the principle of Mutually Assured Destruction that’s prevented all nuclear powers from using the weapons so far?

I’ve been hearing this alarmist rhetoric about Iran here in the US my entire life and I just cannot reconcile it with what I see them do.

Because it would be a meaningful check against Israel and the US which are relentlessly belligerent and the source of most of the violence in the region.

They should manufacture and sell nukes to Iran. Seriously.

Sorry, couldn’t hear you over all the deafening silence from Kamala Harris and Joe Biden about how much they oppose this foreign policy and how different things would have been in this regard if either of them had become president.

The US deserves every bit of blowback that we get for continuing to torment the rest of the world. If this escalates we deserve every single casualty that we incur. I will not celebrate deaths, injuries or damage, but everything that US armed forces and the US people suffer as a result is justified. We will be paying for our unjustified aggression for decades if not forever. I passionately hate this country, our government, both political parties, the prevailing culture and a good number of our stupid people.

And SpaceX is supposed to be the ‘good’ company that Elon runs. NASA needs to cancel the HLS contract and claw back the money already spent.

I’d just like to take this opportunity to say “fuck you” to all the service people flying these planes, planning the logistics, and otherwise operating at the behest of our sadistic federal government. Sure, the civilian leadership is ultimately at fault here, but y’all are humans with agency. I’m no longer carving out culpability from these goddamn people anymore. Fuck you terrorists. Israel does not want world war 3. They want to seize territory, establish regional hegemony, and build out their ethnically pure, fascist empire. All of that is terrible and they deserve to be wiped from the map for trying. They do want the US to fight their war for dominance for them, so they are trying to manipulate the US into ever more participation in the project. But, world war isn’t the goal.

Well, I never said they were. They aren’t the only ones being targeted. The kind of pedantic excuse crafting that you’re doing right here, is the kind nonsensical rationalization that is always deployed when that vicious, violent, predatory nation does what it always does.

Well this is Israel’s big skillset. They are a culture organized around the oppression and murder of innocents.
